historical charm and great amenities
wide choice helpful staff leisure facilities swimming pool
the breakfast was prepared beautifully with a wide choice! the dining room staff were very helpful. the room had everything i needed and plug sockets near the bed. the leisure facilities included a swimming pool and weight training, which i used .
the room was a bit dated.

the location had a beautiful pathway leading up to the hotel. the surrounding area offered a serene and quiet atmosphere. parking was free and close to the hotel entrance. the hotel grounds included a tennis court.

the breakfast was hearty with a full english option! the breakfast selection included cereals, toast, fruit, yogurt, and juices. tea and coffee were also available. the waiting staff were pleasant and attentive during breakfast service.

my room was a good size with lots of storage space. the room included tea and coffee making facilities. the bedding and towels were clean. the room was heavily furnished with enough drawers and wardrobes.

excellent stay in a manor room
spacious room modern shower convenient gym
I appreciated the size of my double room classic. It felt quite spacious. the bathroom included a standalone bath and a very modern double shower. i was also pleased with the convenient on-site gym and pool facilities.

beautiful grounds sauna facility clean room insulated room
The building and grounds were beautiful. I enjoyed the pool and sauna facilities. My room was clean and aesthetically pleasing. I was able to enjoy peace because my room was well insulated.
The path to the lake was overgrown so I could not walk there.

dated decor broken equipment
the hotel definitely showed its age. the room's decor felt dated (like stepping back into the '90s). also, the promised "leisure club" was a bit of a letdown. the gym equipment looked older than me (and that's saying something) and half of it was out of order.

the breakfast was great. it was a hearty english breakfast that kept me going all day. the swimming pool was a nice added bonus too.
the carpet looked like it needed ripping up and replacing in some areas.
